STRUGGLE WITH SLEEP
It’s completely to be expected to feel this way! Trauma will do this to a person. Trauma can include combat zones, traumatic brain injury (TBI), post traumatic stress (PTS) as well as loss of a marriage, losing a job, going through health complications, Covid, overcoming childhood abuse and so much more!
We provide wellbeing tools and a safe environment where authentic sharing helps everyone not feeling alone and gain new resources to heal and thrive. Spouses and caregivers are also included!

What is your constructive response for wounded veterans when people say or leave a note “You can’t park here – you’re not handicapped!”
In our Wounded Warrior Project workshop, this came up as an issue even with disabled veterans’ license plates.
Wounded veterans reported this also happens inside stores and restaurants regarding their service dog and being told they don’t look like they need a service dog.
Not all wounds are visible. Not everyone sees that.
Your insights could help educate others on invisible wounds and empower those who have them.

Introducing a new way to gain personal empowerment! Grateful to Wounded Warrior Project and their alumni who joined Paul Peng and me for “A Resilient Mind: Healing & Empowering through Gun Therapy”
40 of us from across the country came together to share our wounds, face our fears, and learn “ready-aim-fire” self-empowerment based on shooting techniques and mental wellbeing skills. Attendees hit the bullseye by building personal power over their past and control over their future.
When Covid restrictions are lifted, we will add option of in-person shooting to this workshop. The two important reminders of this works are to not isolate and be cut off from others. We need community and connection. And to get a good hit of dopamine. We feel this “happy” sensation when we overcome a challenge, try something new, accomplish a goal, etc. Therapy like this is fun!
Paul brings his first-hand experiences and authentic stories from being a military police veteran and owner of Sentri Institue, a firearms and security training company.
